Breakfast Smoothie

This is my go to breakfast, quick & super nutritious that keeps me going until lunchtime.


Handful of Baby Spinach

1 small or ½ large Avocado

4 tablespoons of Lean Protein Powder

1 tablespoon of Chia Seeds

½ tablespoon Matcha Powder

1 tablespoon of MCT Oil

1/3 – ½ cup of Organic Coconut Water (No added Sugar)

1/3 – ½ cup of Organic Almond Milk (No added Sugar)

½ – 1 Frozen Banana

Handful of Frozen Mixed Berries



Place all ingredients in a blender & blend until Smooth.

You may need to add a bit more Coconut Water or Almond milk to get to your desired consistency.

It may not be the prettiest smoothie but tastes fantastic and packs a Nutritional punch.












What makes it so Nutritious:

Baby spinach contains high amounts of carotenoids, vitamin C, vitamin K, folic acid, iron and calcium.

Avocados are loaded with heart-healthy monounsaturated fatty acids and contain more Potassium than bananas. They are loaded with fibre that keeps you feeling full & satisfied for longer.

Chia seeds are a concentrated food containing healthy omega-3 fatty acids, carbohydrates, protein, fiber, antioxidants, and calcium.

Matcha is full of L-Theanine, a naturally occurring amino acid that helps induce calmness. Matcha is also full of catechins, antioxidants that have been shown to help fight against cancer causing agents.

MCT oil has been dubbed a super fuel as it helps in weight loss by making you feel fuller for longer. Your body can use MCT oil as an instant source of energy, making it unnecessary to store fat.  MCT oil can be converted into ketones to fuel your brain which may improve brain function. Mixed Berries are full of antioxidants. They may help improve blood sugar and insulin response. Berries are high in fibre and contain many nutrients.

Bananas are high in fibre, potassium & B6 also containing a good amount of magnesium.
