Buckwheat Caramel Slice

Equipment

  • 20 cm square baking tin

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Macadamia Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 Cup Coconut Oil Melted
  • 3 tbsp. Rice Malt Syrup Can substitute with Maple Syrup or Honey
  • 3 Cups Puffed Buckwheat
  • 1 pinch Sea Salt
  • 200 grams Dark Chocolate Melted

Instructions

  • Line the baking tin with baking paper ensuring an overhang of the paper (this makes it easier to get out)
  • Combine all the ingredients in a bowl – except the Dark Chocolate & mix well
  • Pour mixed ingredients into the lined tin and smooth out to edges – doesn't have to be perfect
  • Place in freezer for 30 mins
  • Melt the dark chocolate. Use double boiler or microwave whatever your preference
  • Remove base from freezer and pour over the melted chocolate. Spread the choclate over the slice
  • Pop back in the freezer for a further 30 mins
  • When ready, remove from freezer and cut up into bite size pieces
  • Enjoy!
  • Store remaining slice in an airtight container in the freezer to keep enjoying.
