Dark Chocolate Treat
250 grams of your favourite Dark Chocolate
15g of Goji Berries
1/3 of a cup of Buckwheat Puffs
40g of Raw Almonds
Place Raw Almonds on a tray and cook in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 10 minutes. This will give your Almonds a toasted flavor that goes so well with Dark Chocolate. Allow to cool and chop roughly.
Melt the Dark Chocolate with whatever method you prefer, until it is smooth and shiny. You can use a double boiler over the stovetop or a microwave. Always melt slowly and once it is hot remove from the heat source and stir, I find the residual heat melts the rest of the chocolate.
I line a tray with baking paper and spread about one third of the chocolate and smooth out with spatula. This can be quite thin, I use this sort of like a glue to add the topping so that they stick in place.
Then sprinkle the chopped nuts, berries and buckwheat puffs evenly over the chocolate. Then pour the remaining chocolate over the top. Try to drizzle it over all of the treat and then smooth over with the spatula. This can be a be messy but don’t worry it will taste delicious.
You can choose your own favourite toppings, you don’t have to follow mine but it is a great combo!
Once it is covered in chocolate place it in the fridge to set for about 10 minutes. Then take out and cut into bit size pieces, put back in the fridge in a sealed container and enjoy!
